I didn't write reviews on all of your civil protest pictures. The one caught my eye because I have been there. I am glad you captured this. Paris has been through worse in its history but it is awful to see the damage. Great job capturing all of these images supergold.

Springtime in Paris and the young men's thoughts turn gently to visions of fire and pillage. Not the same Paris I visited all those years ago. A nice shot though.

a good picture, of a protester. suitably in the distance but the threat is evident and in the air. france does have some serious riots and many over the years. nicely framed.

I love your reporting on each photo. Can you lighten up the shade on the restaurant front so we can see it a little better? Composition and colors are fine. It seems rioters always ruin things they don't have and destroy other peoples' work.

You're welcome. I stayed in the Hotel Magenta, not too far from there, I think.

Such flareup of public anger crops up in my country too. But not at all to this extent. Stone stone throwing and damage to parked cars on the roads. The scene you have described is horrifying and very very brutal. Looks like WW-III is not far away! God forbid it! Thanks for sharing!

This is a good shot showing the aftermath of what is happening. While a passive record it does show the extent of what is happening. I do not understand the disconnect between discontent and demonstrations vs vandalism and damage. I guess they don't care that they are wrecking the very industry that can pay for what they want. What will they say when there are no longer jobs for them? Good focus on the subject at hand, good lighting and a story well shown.

Fred,
What can I say your picture shows the aftermath of the riots & arson. Beautiful framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Looks and sounds like those protesters are a very determined lot. What have they got against the President? Like the way the shot is framed by the post and the tree trunk. Sharpness and exposure are fine. Nicely done!

As soon as this came on my screen, I saw that there had been fire. I saw here, some attention paid to something or someone up the street (right of the picture). I quickly read the notes, too bad that protestors use violence and destruction of property to have their voice heard. It begets more violence. I am saddened by the state of affairs in this world.
