I havent heard of this flower and it is lovely. Your notes are well written and interesting to an ex Gardiner like me. It reminds me of some of the flowers in the Ria Formosa which have glossy leaves like this one. Your photograph does the plant justice.it highlights that gorgeous pinky red. It is well focused with central detail on both flowers and folliage. Good luck in the comp.

Good composition. Bright daylight makes high contrast. On my laptop seems like only the blossoms are red, but the flowers are pink
It may be look different on your screen. So, I suggest to adjust the color slightly to the yellow side to make pink look red. Or desaturate the magenta color, you know how it goes. Since you chose this photo as the color red contest, it will make all the difference, right? Best of luck in the contest!

The contest rules say: For this contest share a photograph which somehow uses the color red. Therefore, I believe there is no need to change anything since the color red is used in the photo.

I can hear them singing..lol..cool capture. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is good. The angle of the shot of these colorful flowers is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall
