I love all of the various expressions you have on your birds. That took some time. And I like the red bird whispering in the other Bird's ear. I missed a panel or two so I don't know about the blockade. But it sure looks like there's plenty of birds to break whatever blockade there is, even if the king is unhappy

Guess the squirrels are giving them a hard time! Appears that.a survivor has made it back to break the bad news and everyone is in attendance to get the king's reaction and see what his next plan of action is. Bright bold colors really grab your attention,it must have been fun drawing all those bird heads! Another well presented installment-I need to catch up-lol!

Well that looks a bit of what is happening all over the world loll - excellent narrative - handsome detail work , your special talent really came out again with this piece from big to the smallest distant creatures all are in relation to each other , the color range gives it a happy touch even the topic is severe - you always find the perfect style - well done

all your work is meticulous, but this is so labour intensive I feel I absolutely have to give it the extra. So many individual birds to draw and their eyes have it. I see angry eyes, curious eyes, staring eyes, listening eyes. I wondered if there was a pattern to their colour, if there is I haven't found it, they are random colours it seems. Fantastic bit of work.

    Made them all different colors but they are United over this event..kinda like like.. family might bicker with each other but if someone outside the family attacks one of them,then you will deal with the whole family..wink. thanks for the awesome review

    Also how about you have come into a middle of the story in this music video I'm working on. It's understandable..it happens to me sometimes watching TV. If I can rewind it I would. Lucky you though..you can just take a sneak peek in the portfolio and just scroll thru and you will be current to understand this scene. I do thank you for your time and good review. (Thumbs up)

Great work here mk, I love the detail and many expressions here on the birds. You have a lot of patience with every little bit you have done here, and nicely done is the layering of birds that create good depth as the crowd of them into the background. Great job

The King and the audience are apparently not pleased by the report of the wounded messenger. Typically, the Royals keep themselves out of critique while the little guy is in a no-win situation and got blamed for any failure.
Well, maybe luck turns and the little guy will be a hero.
The audience is mixed of birds of many colors. That reminds a lot of the FAR community, I think. I like how the drawing is composed. Seeing the king in half profile from behind in opposite of the bird-audience and the little hero in the spotlight between king and people.

    Well, It seemed obvious to me. I look always for clues. I think also it is no a coincidence that the king is feathered with royal red. ;O}

    Trying to show the world how a master sharpie/Bic artist can shade and blend without doing all pointillism that they teach others out there. Guess since I never had any art classes I never got the memo of what they expect how to use my pens..I learned thru trial and error..I figured since I have been working with these pens for a half century now I can proclaimed that I'm a Master Sharpie and BIC Artist. Of course I'm legend in my own mind in my own world. Don't worry they know me there ..evil grin..lol.. thanks so much bro for the awesome review! ( Bowing till I hear my pants rip and my face turns red and exit stage left....

    I am also a self taught artist. Puritans may frown at my works. But I love to break rules!:):) Good to know that I have a noble company!

Mark.
A beautiful picture of the limping wounded Oriel reporting to the King Cardinal in front of a large flock of the Civilian Birds keen for new of the Battle field with the Squirrels. Created out of your vivid & comic imagination, very skilful draftsmanship, beautiful choice, blending & application of your colours in bring this Royal Audience to life.
