And he's off. I can see his legs are nearly fully tucked and his eyes are definitely focused on something. His wings are in a position that makes me think he is on a mission and is swooping. Very greatly timed shot.

The hits just keep coming. The detail is tack sharp. Color is spot -on. I especially like the eyes of the eagle. There is something about their eyes that make this bird so unique. Very well done.

Grace, this is photo is really powerful! The eagle is focused! The contrast enhanced colors are brilliant! Perfectly cropped and adjusted this image is already has all time best status. I wish I had one six left to prove that. I think this one shows the main subject and action perfectly. My compliments!

Nicely captured and good composition. It seems like a lot of highlight reduction and noise reduction was applied to the image. (Maybe you can clarify) It gives it a plastic feel. In spite of that the colors of the bird are nice. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you! I just brightened up the background and cloned out part of a branch. I'm not sure why you are getting a plastic impression. Maybe the brightening of the background is adversely affecting the eagle, dunno.

Wow! What a great action shot. Looks like he has spotted prey and is moving in for the kill. The focus is a little soft, probably due to the great distance and zoom to get this closeup, but otherwise it's a fantastic photo.
