This ids really a neat photograph. The small birds like this are extra hard to get them in flight. You did a good job with this. It would be much better with a different background but you have to take what you get!

Ooooooooooo...so cool! You stopped him in a way that makes it look like he is suspended in air. The lighting is really pretty. I love being able to see the cool striped markings on his body. Really nice composition with room for him to be flying into with the really cool light and shadows background. Nice work Grace!

It is so difficult to get a photo of a bird flying and getting such detail in the feathers. At least it is for me. The focus on the bird is so clear and crisp! You would think the background would make the bird blend in too much, but I find it to be very pleasing. Excellent!

I really love this picture of your house finch. I see you used a really high shutter to capture this action shot. This is fabulous detail and clarity detail and clarity. It takes a common bird and elevates it to something quite unusual. Really great job!

I like your POV. The pose is impressive. The bird apparently wants to land on something below. The refinement of detail at body and plumage is excellent. I appreciate the realistic colors. The photo is also well balanced and framed.

Haha! Yes, he is falling from a branch onto the boardwalk railing :) I told him that he didn't have to live like a refugee -watching life between the branches below -he said even the losers get lucky sometime, so I told him don't do me like that and he replied okay, here comes my girl -time to move on, time to get going.
