This is beautiful done and could truly pass for an oil painting. It is a very accurate portrayal of this beautiful bird with all of his striking colors.

Yessir I have trained my duck the command stay..don't work in water to well..lol.. the clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this decoys facial is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer MN good eye and great job overall

Ha,ha. Try to train your ducks on land. This is not a decoy, but supposed to be the real thing. [This is a painting.]

This is indeed a fine entry for this contest, and the green head of the Wood Duck is really standing out as the center of interest. With such a colorful bird, it is a perfect with the plain grey background, and it is standing out from it in an excellent way.
I like the fine textures you have brought out, the fine shadings, your smooth brush strokes and also the good use of high lights.
I also think the format and the framing is working really well, and the duck has got a very fine placement off to the right. This makes for a good balance in the composition, and also a good balance between negative and positive space. A truly lovely and well done digital painting, and I wish you luck with the contest.
