A ghost crab... I never knew this one and wonder where the beach is. He is very beautiful with those lovely shades of yellow and cream, almost pale pink claws. It's a great photo, ckear focus and central. The backdrop of sand is perfect.

Way too many legs for me!! Lol! This is a great close view of the crab. It is interesting to see the details of those legs and the weird looking face. The difference in color of his claws and the rest of the body is interesting too.

HAHA!! Bet you aren?t fond of spiders either,well these guys can scurry rather quickly,but sideways;very fast,hard to run down,sometimes it takes an extra person to help ?wrangle? one to keep it from ducking down it?s burrow or making a dash for the open!

You bet right! I am not fond of the enemy who's name I will not mention :) Sounds hilarious trying to keep these crab guys in line! I did see some in person once and they kind of creeped me out with the way they scurry and duck. I can at least think these guys are cute, unlike the arachnids :)

Great shot. I especially like that you got down load to get the full face on. So are you lying on your stomach? Your focus was very good we can see all the little bumps and parts of the crab very well. The color looks very natural. Too bad you didn't tell it to smile LOL. Good luck in the contest

Your title immediately brought a smile to my face!
The soft lighting really brings out the sharp detail of the crab especially in those claws, those colours are also very well handles and again its the light that helps with that!
