Well captured moment in this man's life. Good sharp image with many details. I think the closed eyes help tell the story as does the position of the hands. The B&W conversion works and you have created nice contrast in the shot to show the details. Good luck in the contest.

Excellent capture oft he man in the foreground and it's mood, but the head on the background that is not blur enough is a distraction

love the photo and yes, his despair shows. They give these cyclones names now. I wonder if there are more now than there used to be, or there were less people and less news media before so we just did not know. Does the government help out at such disasters? What is sad is that without the farmer we have no food and yet the farmers don't get the help or respect they deserve. Well that is how I feel anyway. No doubt the weather will have been tamed and regulated by next century. They can already do some of that now. Some British are buying large tracts, villages and mountains, of Africa as it has gone round that with the future weather control, that will be the Continent of the future. I will not be here to see!

The present government has given top most priority to the farmer's distress and giving them cash on hand and other doles like free water , electricity, fertilizers and support in teaching them the modern farming techniques.Yes. without farmers we would be starving! I can feel that expression from here. Awesome capture. Shame I don't have any 6's. The clarity is excellent. The angle of the shot of this despair Man is excellent. The capture of the light is excellent. The image is well balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Great eye and awesome work overall (clapping)

What terrific looking image with oozes of visual impact! The b;w conversions has to be the best choice because of the subject you can really feel his dispair not just with the face and expressions but also with his hands on top of his head a very powerful combination and to cap all that the blurred face behind also shows the sorrow! The detail is also bitingly sharp!

Wow, this has a strong emotional impact , this poor man shows his despair in his expression and his hands placed up on his head, this is well captured with good focus, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, nice Black and white shows good tonal variations, well composed and presented!
