Bad lighting..oh man I wish I could see it in a better light cause this is awesome. The details is excellent. The facial expressions is excellent. The body form and language is excellent. The shading is excellent. The depth is excellent. The blend of the colors is awesome. The creation is well balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. This is exceptional. It is a view from one of the crowd. I feel right in the middle and despair that there is nothing I can do. As Mary portrayed bottom left is showing despair rather than sorrow. The colours are wonderfully representative of historical times and remind me of the old old masters. The people are realistic and features are clear. Oils I love but find i find them difficult in brush work but here you have mastered the technique. I hope you achieve your Italian dream but I think you have your own interpretation, learning new techniques is always interesting but don't let them alter your own style.
