A nice shot that captures the iridescence of the plumage quite well. I like the colors, and while I might prefer a more natural looking setting, this composition is very good.

Another really beautiful bird. And yes I really like the way the sun is bringing out this guys colors. The use of light is shining through (pun intended haha) and provides a nice initial impact. Great job :)

the bird says "thanks! i just got it waxed!" lol..cool capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this shiny bird posing is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Nice image and reminds me of one that I had just taken.
Would like to see the image not almost perfectly bisected and a bit more space was in front of the bird.
Perhaps if the bird was just a tad brighter. Good limited color palette.

Awesome! Birds have a way of being beautiful especially in the sun. I love seeing details in photos. The different colors in the feathers that transition into the brown at the head. Great pic.

I like Cowbirds except for the fact that they lay their eggs in the nest of other birds and are raised by those parents. Of course the Cowbird grows faster and demands more food. Quite an ingenious work of Nature I would say.

Thank you Steve! I guess that's why they use the word parasite in the term 'brood parasite' for birds that do that. Quite a few actually do. Nat Geo has a Top 25 Wild Bird Brood Parasites. Pretty interesting!

While viewing it, I zoomed in, checking the great focus, and discovered a square crop would do your work a bit more justice, and eliminate the excess background on each side. Delightful photograph, thank you for sharing!

A very beautiful picture of this iridescent green Cowbird with a bronze head the sunlight making it's iridescence glow standing out clearly in contrast to it's bright background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
