I think your framing makes this an attractive image. The zigzag space is awesome. The view through the rocks of the dramatic clouds and sky color along with the light reflected in the water is gorgeous.

Thank you so very much Colin. This was taken near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Banderas Bay. I had scoped out the sight that morning so I knew just where to set up at sunset. I am honored with your Grand rating. Thank you for that Colin. Cheers ~ Steve

You did it again, you created a masterpiece. All the colors in the sky. See that the man up stairs showing up who the man is one again with those beautiful colors and see scape. I'm sure there are many more creative words that have been used to describe your work, but I will stick with one . BEAUTIFUL. Plus I don't know all those big hard to spell words. My college was the service lol hahah. John

Wow. Thanks John. Hey I retired from the Army and any words over three letters are new to me. I know Army terms, cussing, swearing, typical military B.S. etc. So I too am really challenged when it comes to artistic reviews. I use the word "Good" a lot. That's about as artistic as it gets from me. Ya get what ya pay for.

I really appreciate your reviews John as they are always entertaining. Thank you very much for the Grand rating John ~ Steve

I agree that the rock formations is giving an abstract look, but this scene is still very realistic, and I especially like the dramatic looking sky, and how nicely the setting sun is reflected in the sea. This has given it a lovely golden look.

The silhouetted rocks are standing out sharp and well defined, and I think the exposure is very good. The photo is probably a bit over sharpened, but it could also be because of the way you have edited it.

The photo is nicely cropped and the rocks offer a nice and natural framing. The sun has got a perfect placement between them. A lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF Steve, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Ahhh, so dark, so mysterious and so intriguing. This is beautiful. I love the fact that, on one hand it appears that everything is in silhouette but on the other, if you look closely, there are things to be seen in the shadows. A beautiful seascape. Thank you for sharing.

Love the brilliant colors here.
The reflection off the water is key!
Not as sharp as I'd like to see and the middle dark spot looks like it's part of the foreground.
Good luck to you in the contest!! Thank you for sharing .

Steve,
A very beautiful & dramatic sunset picture with the sun's disc glowing through a break in the dark clouds while it's golden rays radiate above then adding a golden glow to the cloudy sky above it's golden rays are also reflected in the sunbeam radiating across the sea from the horizon to you the scene framed within a Z by the rocks in the foreground. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

It is interesting how the sky is between the rocks. The different types of sky and sea between remind me of sediments laid on top of each other.

Thank you Gary. Yes, you are right. The sky and sea do remind of sedimentary layers in a rock formation. Cool. Good eye Gary. Thank you for your review and commentary ~ Steve

I like the light in the sky which highlights the movement in the clouds, the lovely orange on the lapping waves looks so peaceful. I like that you have framed this scene through the rock which adds interest. Nice work. Good luck in the contest.
