Good one for the contest and a good close-up of this butterfly,good tight crop in this,wonder what setting you used as the head of this butterfly looks sharp where as its wing tips are not,still other than that a good one...Brian

Monarch butterflies are one of my favorites. I love the intricate designs in their wings. The white polka dots on their body and edges of their wings are so attractive. This one looks so delicate as it daintily feeds on this cluster of pink flowers.

The minor cropping you did look like it did very well which gave the monarch perfect placement in the frame. Your focus, was spot on as it provides excellent clarity and detail to the butterfly as well as the flowers.

Very nice profile of this female monarch on a milkweed flower. Sharp focus and good color. Possibly a bit bright. Nice composition. You could possibly do a very slight vignette just to focus the eye on the monarch. Good background. Well seen.
