Very nice macro shot of the bee. I like how you can see every hair on the body. And the great cropping of just the edge of the flower and the blurred background all work well together. Good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.

A great macro shot of this bumble bee. The focus is sharp and the colors are true and even vivid on the cone flower.
Placement in the frame is just right as the objects enter from the lower right corner and flow diagonally across the frame.
The background is nicely rendered and accents the main subject.

The bee is on focus and your lighting is superb.
How you balance the lighting is quite commendable.
However, I'd have tilted a bit at an angle to create a 3 dimensional shot, so as to capture a better representation of the macro details of the bee.
But hey, the best shots are often taken spontaneously, and you have it.
Well done and keep it coming.
