The bird is truly beautiful Willie, and you have pictured it so well. I also like a lot the lovely vegetation surrounding the birds, and how lovely the light is falling on the bird.

The bird is standing out from the background sharp and well defined, and it is clear details to be seen in every part of the bird. Both the exposure and the white balance is perfect.

The format and framing could not have been better, and the bird has got a fine placement off to the left. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

yes, they are certainly everywhere in Florida, south florida anyway :)

Yours is a perfect natural shot showing off the surroundings of the everglades here.
