It's absolutely beautiful. Really a gorgeous scene. The orange yellow sky is breathtaking. The way the sun reflects off the water. Very nice. Can't help but think of what the view from the sailboat looks like. Thanks for sharing. John side note, so in regards to your painting, I added some texture to the rocks on the side with some black grout and it looks awesome, I wanna do something unique with the water, just not sure what yet. When I finally finish it :), I will send it off. It will be a gift to you for dealing with all this waiting. Hope your day is blessed with many smiles. John

Steve, this is gorgeous! I'm sure it was a beautiful shot before the painted effect was added, but the effect really makes it 'pop' and ups the overall artistic appeal of the scene. I love it!

Thanks so much David. I couldn't get my brain to come up with a poem. This was the first time I used the paint filter in PS. I will definitely use it again. I very much appreciate your comments and Super Rating David ~ Steve

Well, this awesome work of art did inspire me to write a poem. Feel free to use it on this or a future work if you like it.

    The Setting Sun
    -----------------
The sun sets in a golden sky
the ocean is calm as ships sail by
as sunlit waters catch our eye
the palm leaves start to sway

    Seabirds settle for the night
the sky reveals the first star light
all is good, and all is right
    so ends another day

I think the painted appearance and canvas-like texture looks really nice. It's especially flattering in the sky and the sails of the ship. It also gives the water a nice sense of motion.

Another gorgeous sunset scene with colors across the sky and reflecting on the boat and water. Nicely framed with the palm tree. Indeed a well taken photo with a good depth of field. Beautiful painterly effect enhance your scene. Outstanding work and thanks for sharing.

Steve,
A very beautiful sunset picture with the golden sun glowing in the deep orange sky a sunbeam crossing the dark glistening sea with s small Galleon crossing the sunbeam on the right a silhouetted Palm tree. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Nice low key style complete with the ambient glow in the sky and on the water.
The filters used give it a painterly like look. Nice details on the silhouette tree and boat.
Nice work Captain ;)

Galleon? Does not seem big enough! Your fine composition offers us a good look at your attractive location. Wonder where in the world you took it. Exposure and sharpness are good. The rippled effect around the sun is not enjoyable to me. Otherwise a nice photo!

This is indeed a beautiful scene Steve, and the golden colors of the sky looks fantastic. I especially like how well the reflections from the setting sun is captured in the shiny sea, and that the sun is sitting right above the ship.

The silhouetted ship and palm tree are standing out Sharp and well defined against the background, and the exposure is perfect.

I like the filters you have added and the painted look, because this has turned Your photo into something actually looking like a painting. The vignette you have added is very effective. The format and framing is very good and with the tree off to the right, it is a fine balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well done mixed media photo.
