I LOVE this shot and your extensive notes. Thank you so much for that. I think the notes are just as important as the shot. They complete the composition as far as I am concerned. I love to learn. After reading them and viewing your lovely scene I want to go there! I love the way you shot this. The brightest area of light being in the back gives a great depth of field and draws the viewers eyes in from front to back. I like the inclusion of the old tree up front. It gives contrast without being distracting. I LOVE old buildings and their history. I could look at this all day long. Thank you for all the time you took in sharing this with us. It is now on my bucket list. Aimee

Annie,
A very beautiful atmospheric picture of the restored village of Miles with its stone built houses a beautiful old tree in the centre with a drinking fountain at it's foot. The sunlight filtering down through it's branches lighting up the front of the houses on the left. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with love & superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

I enjoyed reading the text supporting this photograph. You sent me to the Bing bar searching to find out where this was. Greece. Thank you for giving me another learning adventure. As to the photograph. What can I say other than great composition, enjoyable view of light on the center of the building with the darks surrounding it in the forms of trees, ground and other rough rock forms. A beautiful photograph that evokes feelings of nostalgia and calm. Reasons for my five star vote.

A pretty image of this mountain village, I like the angle of capture
Which makes the viewer want to walk the rugged pathway and explore, good capture of the light in the back ground which
Picks out the old door and rugged balconies, great rustic
Scene, quite atmospheric.

An interesting piece of information about Greece. The stone walled architecture of the building makes it interesting viewing. I like the light and shadow interplay. Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful scene that is very well composed. The light on the building is superb and the details are magnificent. I like balance the tree provides and the great natural colors.

What a magnificent restoration. Your perspective and point of view present this old building and courtyard as a painting. The composition is very well done. Camera techniques are well done and edits work very well.

What a beautiful shot, I love the view point you have chosen with the nice well up front - excellent framing , perfect sharpness, contrast and lighting - your composition is very attractive , reflects the flair of old historic buildings in perfection - excellent angle using the tree as "protagonist" in this picture , well seen, well done, happy holidays
