What a great close up of this guy's face! Those are really are gorgeous and the membrane looks pretty cool in the position you captured. I like all the directions and markings of the feathers on his face and head. He's a beautiful bird.

This is so cool. I love that you captured the nictitating membrane as that is difficult to see and even rarer to photograph. It's Snow White plumage with the black accents is so very pretty as are the sunny yellow eyes.

A beautiful & interesting picture of this picture showing the beautiful eye's of this Great Horned Owl with it's third eyelid or nictitating membrane seen half way across it's eyes. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
