Definitely unique photograph of this pelican with a catch that was not expected or desirable.
Excellent details and natural colors with a spectacular presentation.
I wish I had a six stars to give. Thank you for sharing.

Very much welcome.

Mr. Pelican having a midday repast. Must be fun to just bend down and scoop up lunch, no lines at the super market, no cooking and no clean up. What a life. Congratulations on your well deserved win. Ray

I like this .... although nature can be sad (for the little fish). Very nice clarity and nice capture of the moment. You can really study the bird ... such as the yellow part of his upper beak. Things we would not normally see. Thanks for sharing.

This is a great shot. The little fish jumping inside the pelicans beak is so clear. How close were you to this pelican? The color and close up of this pelican is a great capture shot. Congratulation.

Thank you for your review. I was may10-15 yards away, using a 100-400mm lens on a cropped sensor. I was very lucky to capture it at that moment.

Thank you for your review. Yes, I was very fortunate to have caught that moment with everything turning out surprisingly perfect. I had no idea what I had caught at first.

Great scene with perfect timing. Have never seen a photo with a Pelican catch before.
Great job of cropping to give emphasis to the catch of this guy. Focus is sharp and the colors are well rendered.
A great entry for the contest. Best of the best in the voting Tim ~ Steve
