I like the composition. The light is especial skilfully painted. It emphasizes the woman favorably. I like how the light reflects and is visible her silk shawl. The curving staircase banister are eye pleasing. The colors are harmonic and intriguing. Perspective and proportions are flawless. The painting is excellently composed and framed.

Insofar as your painting is concerned, The detail is very well done, the colors are vivid and provide a sense of elegance. The painting could send very different messages to the viewer. When I look upon your subjects face I can sense forlornness or perhaps concern that she is about to reach heaven and isn't ready at her young age. From a completely different viewpoint, I can interpret it as more sensual in that she is anticipating meeting her lover at the top of the stairs wherever they may lead her. Either way it is very creative.

I love this one may friend. Yes, it has a special something. The pastels work is just fabulous especially on that railing. Nice work on her trailing scarf and the see through effect on the stairs. Beyond its technical excellence, it projects a real sense of mystery by her look and the vanishing staircase at the top. Many stories could be told about it. Great job and I really enjoyed viewing and reviewing it.
