Actually, I was the second reviewer but our wifi signal was so erratic that my lengthy review was not successfully sent...
Now I'm the 15th one.....

Well, this is a sharply focused nighttime shot!
Crisp & clear & cool image.
Dynamic diagonal framing with a vanishing viewpoint...
Pitch black backdrop pops out the led lighted design nicely.

Thanks for sharing!

Lol, sorry you had to write it all over again! Thank you for doing that :)

Very beautiful and it sounds like fun!! The colors are very vibrant against the black background. Part of me likes the depth of field and the other part of me would like to see one thing really well.

That's a very nice tradition, and for a worthy cause. Your photo is very colorful, and I like how you also got the snow beneath the train, which is glowing with the reflection of the colored lights.

Thank you! They donated $7000.00 to this location in addition to all the food donated by the community. I'm not sure where the money actually came from but it was presented to the city by the Canadian Pacific people.

What a lovely idea - although was trying to work out if they give donations to foodbank or foodbank donate to them for performing? Don't mind my confusion very tired after Xmas. Love the colors of the lights against the darkened background.

Thank you :) I understand tired, completely! The people who come to see the train and watch the band perform bring food donations as "payment" but Canadian Pacific also donates money to the local food shelves. They gave this locale $7000.00 in addition to all the food donated by the spectators.

Wow that is so good - so many people are having a hard time and need that kind of support. :)

A very nice tradition and a fine shot. I like the intense black background and the great colors. A fine perspective; I think the bit of fence and foreground is very nice.

Grace,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the illuminated scene on the side of the Canadian Pacific Train glowing in the dark. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

I wish something like this would get on the news. Somebody should start a "good news channel" with no political commentary permitted. You can always count on the others for the gut wrenching disaster updates...

Very coooool night capture of this fancy lit train! I like the elves and I see a SNOWMAN!!
So the question must be asked!
Do you wanna build a snowman? :)
Fine exposure, superb focus and nice shooting at night without a flash.
Well done GEM2 ;)

Thank you Sange! I should have known that question was coming :)

I really like this photo, and the angle at which you took it. If you didn't tell us it's a train, I actually would not have known! The entire context of the photo is very artistic, with the neon lights highlighting the scene. This is definitely a Christmas train, radiating winter and joy with seeing this bright image across the pitch black backdrop. Seeing it makes me feel inspired to continue on with having my Christmas spirit. Also the whole idea of having this train stop at charity places really amplifies the effect of this photo, and I think this art speaks volumes, all from photographing a train. Also great how there's no editing involved, and you were able to capture something artistic as well as a great depiction of what Christmas is all about.

Thank you very much for the six stars and nice compliments! I think it is a very nice thing that they do for the communities they visit. They donated $7000.00 to the food shelf at this location in addition to all the food that the spectators donated :)
