It is almost bad to Call this beauty a ditch Lilly, but I understand why of course. You have pictured it so well, and I especially like the Close and personal approach. I also think the all black background is very effective for the Lilly to stand out in an excellent way.
The photo is pin Sharp showing truly Clear and well defined details both in the stamens and the petals, and the exposure is spot on.
The tight cropping is Perfect and the Lilly has got a very good placement within the frame. This is a truly beautiful and well taken photo Willie, and With an excellent DOF. I wish you Luck With the contest.

Excellent photo of the beautiful lily - so today I went out took macro of bee which nowhere compares to yours and photos of the lilies in Gardens which once again nowhere compares to yours LOL. Awesome focus and clarity on the details of this flower with excellent color. :) Mary
