This is quite an ice crazy view. Exceptional detail and reflection. I like the upside down look this has, with that lovely blue sky at the bottom.

A very nice shot. The ice is captured in crisp detail and the reflection on its surface provides a kind of dual view that is just great. Nice colors and excellent composition.

A gorgeous find that is nicely photographed! Nice that you came upon it before the ice thickened and became cloudy.I love the distorted reflection in this clear ice layer forming on the pond. The ridges give it a great fractured quality and a lot of interest, like nature's shattered mirror.Excellent focus and colors with that blue sky and clouds above the dark pines. An excellent entry for the contest,i wish you all the best!

Comment from Dick Lee Shia
Palpable coldness...
Fantabulous glistening reflections and the ridges added character & texture to the fresh forming thin layer of ice...
Sharply focused.
Good perspective & long depth of field...

A beautiful & interesting picture of the ice forming over the pond, the Pines along the bank & the sky above reflected on the surface of the ice the cracks on the surface of the ice resemble a Spider's web laid over the ice. Interesting composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
