James, I like that you are stretching yourself. You KNOW and I KNOW that you are an expert in women paintings, everyone KNOWS that what ever the materials, if you paint a woman you do an expert job, it is therefore fantastic that you are taking a new journey, and I might add, something else, they are perfectly masculine looking. When I was at art college, they used to say that Renate does not like men, because all the men I painted looked sort of feminine. Well done my friend- and I like the feeling of despair, not quite despair, it is over- nothing else to come, in his face

Thank you so very very when I was. A teenager I did a lot of fantasy art that gave me a very good understanding of male anatomy once again thank you so very much

Hey Jesuel! What a fine piece of art you have created here. You can just feel the emotion in this piece and it makes you feel for the Savior and everything he went through for us! The creativity with your shading and lines is a nice touch and adds detail and gives depth. This is great I am glad you shared.

Your subject is number 1 in my life. Jesus died on the cross for my sins, even before I was born. I find it interesting that Jesus has blue eyes being of Jewish decent. However, it is not unusual to see Him depicted that way after a movie (which I can't remember the name of right now) showed Jesus with blue eyes. A girl in Poland painted Jesus this way after she had an operation where she died and was revived. The movie was about a little boy that had a near death experience. He said he went to heaven and met his sister. His mother had a miscarriage. His father was looking at pictures of Jesus on the computer when his boy passed by and said, "There He is! That's Jesus!" it was the picture the girl in Poland had painted. I have been following your work on FAR and have seen the growth in your art. This is my favorite.

This is a wonderful and dramatic portrayal of Jesus looking up. To me it shows His absolute trust and surrender to God His Father, even in this extreme condition of pain and near death.
Excellent light and shading and colours. Love the glow on the left. Thanks for sharing James!

A very fine representation of Christ. It is very moving. He is looking up and it could be at the cross .. he knows what he must endure ... the art is skillfull, it shows he has been beaten. The skin, the face, the crown of thorns are all in proportion. At first I thought the right eye should have had the lower lid straight as in the left eye .. however on reflection he has been beaton and most probably his face too received injury this one eye open andthe other half closed is a very small detail with large impact. The colour pallet is of a tone associated with old masters and the overal impact is emotional and great.

This is a beautiful portrait of Jesus as he looks up, the crown of thorns on his head and blood stains on his body. Well created with good shape and structure, well applied facial features , colors are well chosen and applied. Well presented with awesome light over his face.
