Lovely black and white image of the memorial although I feel the dome is a little cramped. The black and white conversion works well and your focus is great.

A very good entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and traditional composition grants us an enjoyable view of that famous building. Like the contrast between the building and the trees. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well done and good luck!

The mixed media treatment, especial the monochromatic gives the quality of a vintage print to your photo. It looks like an old postcard. The mix of architecture styles at the historical building is interesting. The people and birds add an intriguing touch of modern life. The shadows and reflections are interesting. The memorial is excellently placed within the frame. The mixed media is well composed.

Well done Chris - the image is well positioned in the frame allowing just a hint of reflection in the water. I really like the black and white presentation; it keeps the viewers attention on the building and allows it to stand out beautifully. The broad span of both lights and darks are all present and make for a lovely black and white scene.

A fine shot that is very well composed. The building is shown in great detail and looks great in black and white. I like the foreground with the bit of a reflection and the flying geese. Best of luck in the contest.

Chris,
A beautiful Black & white picture of the Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC on the tidal basin off the Washington channel off the Potomac River it's construction commenced in 1939 & completed in 1943 Jefferson's Bronze Statue was added in 1947. It's reflection seen on the water on which the ducks are flying & swimming. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
