one of my prefered week end destination: only 2 hours from home! we go there very often: I think it was taken more than 2 years ago because this old sailboat isn't there any more: an excellent capture Brian.

Hi Brian!
That's quite a good looking picture,my friend!
One special point of interest for me is the stern of what looks to be a seventeenth century sailing vessel that's anchored towards the right of the image!
( I'd enjoy seeing more of that! : ) )
'Good Show',my friend!

This is a beautiful look at this harbor in France! I love the way the light is illuminating the buildings and boats. Excellent sharpness throughout the photo. Great entry for the contest! Best of luck!

I love harbours ... I find them so interesting and like to take in all the details especially their boats and activities. I find as an artist and when reviewing photography I don't always look for the professional aspects
although I am learning that these are important but from an art perspective I have to consider the interest: and this for me ticks all the boxes. From good positioning and angle, good focus and use of light, the sky and horizon perspective that goes behind the buildings. I think is very well done to achieve this on going perspective. The water reflections are good, gentle, noticible but not overpowering and distracting. Then i really like your inclusion right of the old galleon, just a hint but its large and really sets the dimensional aspect of the rest.

This shows the contrast between natural and man made and how the structures and the boat come together in this scene. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Quite a nice entry into the competition posted here. Your fine and traditional composition offers us an enjoyable view of the harbour. Like the contrast between the sun-lit old buildings and the dark old ship. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

A very nice composition. The buildings along the shoreline are nicely complimented by the tall ship in the foreground. Beautiful colors and crisp detail throughout. Good luck in the contest.
