Like the vibrancy of the colours. Not sure on the starburst, and whether it adds the interest or is more a distraction? :) When I look at the image small, I like it, when I look at it large, not so much and find my eye drawn to it too much over the gorgeous colours.
But overall, like the image> :)
No help on a name for you - I love abstracts but am useless when it comes to 'naming' - or even writing up a blurb about them! But that little section at the bottom, does remind me of an apple :)

Keep creating,
Ann, OpenroadFootprint

Thanks Ann for your review. Yes is a strange one. Actually this was a reflection on the wall of electrical cords and the bright disk is the reflection of the sun off a CD. I saw all this on the wall and got a picture. I did enhance the colors and gave it an abstract look. I agree about the reflection from the CD. Lol. One of those things. Thanks again Ann ~ Steve

Love what you've created here, Steve and a great entry for the contest. I think it's something alien. The wonderful colours look like folded soft material like velvet or velour and the being at the front is definitely an alien form. Love all the patterns in this. Alien adventure is all I can think of! Great composition. Best of luck in the contest. Suzanne

You're very welcome Steve. I can usually see something alien in my abstracts, too! Suzanne

"Molecular Journey Through a Feather of a Peacock"
Imagine putting part of a male peacock's feather!
Not only does a rainbow make a cameo in this closer look, I see some natural and possibly supernatural molecules in the "specimen".
Thank you for this opportunity.
Honestly it's such an honor just to be nominated ;-)

    Hey Darth,

'Molecular Journey Through a Feather of a Peacock' (Molecular Journey Through a Peacock Feather'). Very cool and imaginative Title. I can really see that in this one Darth. You have a very artistic mind. Thank you for your review and Title Darth ~ Steve

Thank you Steve! I accidently forgot to complete the first sentence... *Imagine putting a male peacock's feather into a slide and look at it with *Microscope...

I love the colors and shapes except for the fish looking thing in the right, bottom corner. Perhaps that is the focal point, but for me it is a distraction. I know that is in the heart of the beholder, but the yellow thing I behold does nothing for me. EVERYTHING ELSE is just gorgeous!

    Hey Mary,

Thank you so much for your review and comments. Very much appreciated. Yes I can see how the shiny object can be a distraction or an unnecessary element. Do you have a suggestion for a Title for this image? I would like to know your ideas. Thanks again Mary ~ Steve

Lure Me In. The yellow thing makes me think of a fishing lure. The background is so beautiful with its sparkles. Best I can do.

This is a taffy. For two days I tried up with a title. My thoughts about followed me into my dreams. It is said the dreams are monochromatic, black at white, but last night I dreamed of your creation. I believe I saw it just as you created it, and I believe I saw the colors and the light. I woke up with a start the colors still lingering in my mind. So I would call your creation "I Dreamed of Colors" or if that title is to long "Colored Dreams".
I like very much how you composed it. The beautiful colors are an exiting contradiction with the lighted shape at the right and the rays emerging from it.

    Hey Cleo,

'I Dreamed of Colors' / 'Colored Dreams'. Actually Both are very cool and imaginative Titles. I had not thought of that. Glad that it helped you to remember that you dreamed in color. Cool to dream like that isn't it? Thank you so much Cleo for your review and Title and More Than Grand Rating. Very much appreciated ~ Steve

Steve - I guess I have been away for a while... I do not remember you doing abstract during my prior experience with FAR. You have definitely developed an eye and skill for it since I've been gone. Are you still only capturing images on your phone?

To the review.... When I look at this abstract, I see "Sea Life". I'm reminded of aquatic plant life - going with this landlocked reviewers interpretation - I further see that shiny fish (or possibly a lure). That's my initial perception - but then I do see a layered resemblance of birds (beaks).... I love the energy this abstract offers. It uplifts ones mood and creates a feeling of harmony. The colors are bright and inviting. The abstract promotes curiosity and intrigue.

Hmmm... a name.... ha,ha... I probably spend more time thinking of names then taking and managing photo's. LOL... I'll suggest "Shimmering Sea Scapes"

    Hi Kathy,

Yes I am still shooting with an iPhone. I really move up in the world. I advanced to an iPhone11 from the iPhone7. I think it takes better photos. Still trying to get used to it.

Yes I started this 'Give The Abstract Image a Title' Contest Last year. It was pretty popular and people said that it was a lot of fun. So I started it again this year. You can look in my portfolio at the previous abstract contest images. 'Shimmering Sea Scapes'. Very cool Title. I like it. It definitely fits the image and I can see an underwater motif in this one.

Great review and Title Kathy. Hope you had fun with this one. I will announce the winning title when I post Abstract #2-2020. Thank you again Kathy ~ Steve

BFF, this is amazing first of all.

The colors are extremely vibrant and reminds me of the deep oceans.

I would call this one the Pearl of the Ocean.

As it looks like a beautiful pearl sitting inside the clam near the bottom of the ocean.

Beautiful work here Steve ~ BFF

    Hey BFF,

Thank you for the review, very Generous rating and that very cool Title. 'Pearl of the Ocean' is a great title. I had not considered an ocean scene. Due to my lack of talent and imagination I have no clue as to what this may be titled. All I know is what the original photo looked like. Hint: The shiny object is a reflection coming off a CD as it is illuminated by the sun. Thanks again BFF ~ BFF

Hi Steve, The background of this looks like velour. It has that brushed look of velvet. .How about "Ethereal Velour".
I don't know what the white image is but it could be the brush that gives velour its texture. It's definitely different. I really had to think on this one, Steve! I'm sure your receiving some very interesting titles. Very Cool My Friend! Good Luck in the Contest! :o) Nancy

Hey Nancy. Thank you for your review and great title - "Ethereal Velour". I like it. I had not even considered that Velour look. Good imagination. Hope all is well ~ Steve

The first thing that came to mind when I saw your image was velour. It just had that look.
    Glad you liked the name.

I'm so glad you brought the "name my abstract" back Steve. It's a great great exercise to get your imagination going! :o) Nancy

I can't decide if this is deep space or ocean stuff. Deep Sea Aurora? The "creature" looks like a luminous insectoid submarine with one of those deep sea glow lights on its back. Could suggest the soupy atmosphere of some planet or asteroid..... A fun quiz!

Thank you so much Daphne for your wonderful rating and very imaginative title. "Deep Sea Aura" is a very cool title. I had not considered that it could be an underwater image. You have a great artistic imagination Daphne. Thank you again for the Title and the More than generous rating ~ Steve

I am glad you liked the name, and thank you for complementing my imagination. Some of my responses reflect having a number of diverse experiences in the context of micro social and geographic areas you might say. I did a fair amount of underwater swimming, no mask, no fins, no wet-suit, and something about your post triggered a colorful recollection of some mysteriously shadowy locations with a lot of color. That is part of what contributed to my "imagination." Also, I could swear that many years ago I saw some deep sea photos of colorful underwater vents, perhaps in National Geographic magazine. I searched the Internet earlier, and found no such photos though. I was surprised. Some deep sea vents yes, but no color to them. I even looked for videos of underwater magma eruptions, but can't find anything like what I think I recall pictured in those old photographs. Quite frustrating! Anyway, your pixel fantasia triggered some of those various recollections. I'm looking forward to the next one!..
