Love the insects you have included here, the bug on the table, the butterfly on the flower, with the moon with the stars, well proportioned and balance, very enjoyable to look at

Daphne,
A beautiful & colourful image with the Dragon mug in the centre steam rising from within it . On either side two vases with colourful floral arrangements in them glowing out from the dark background the moon glowing in the night sky & the stars twinkle. Created by your Artist's eye for composition with very skilful digital techniques, beautiful choice blending & application of your colours in bringing the scene to life.

A nicely composed image. I like the way the brilliant colored flowers contrast with the night sky. Very nice detail throughout and great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

Nicely done Daphne. I like how the brightly colored flowers stand out boldly against the black starry background. The glowing moons adds a nice mystical element.

The vases add depth to the scene. The Dragon Cup immediately catches the attention of the viewer and is very well done. A nice gift for another FAR member.

Well done and all the best in the contest Daphne ~ Steve

Thank you so much Steve. When is your birthday and what Chinese Year were you born in?
reply by iPhone7 on 27-Feb-2020
My birthday is November 12. I was borne in 1951. No idea what Chinese Year.

Apparently 1951 is Year of the Rabbit. Well, if in creation with flowers, I suppose a rabbit might be eating them, lol....A blurb on the Internet says: To outsiders, the Rabbit?s kindness may make them seem soft and weak. In truth, the Rabbit?s quiet personality hides their confidence and strength. They are steadily moving towards their goal, no matter what negativity others give them.
With their good reasoning skills and attention to detail, they make great scholars. They are socializers with an attractive aura. However, they find it hard to open up to others and often turn to escapism.
A plain and routine life is not their style. Though conservative and careful in their actions, they need surprises every so often to spice things up.

That sounds pretty interesting. Thank you Daphne.

I am year of the snake, and never was particularly attracted to snakes, so prefer to be a tiger or rabbit or something furry... Snakes are written up as pretty flashy on Chinese table mats though.... Where I just looked up year of the rabbit, says: People born in the year of snake are believed to be graceful, calm, composed and expressive. They can move forward according to the plan all the time with the spirit of grittiness. Both sensibility and intellectuality are very strong.....
Of course different sites say different inconsistent things. I had a physical therapist once who had a serious book on the topic of Chinese astrology, and it was so complex I figured I didn't have the motivation to study it. She however, looked up a a difficult personality in the book that I was having difficulty dealing with, and I was blown away by the seeming insight into this atypical person. He was a wood and metal dragon together, one side, the metal dragon, rather cruel and militant, and the other sweet and innocent... Of course I happened to be married to him, lol. I thought I was marrying the wood dragon I guess, then yikes, here comes a whole new personality out of the shadows....

Beautiful, rich colors and pleasing composition, although I am puzzled by the presence of the spoon. I like the dark background, which nicely showcases the flowers.

Thank you so much! Well I liked the idea of a gold spoon, and also it is to stir with or sip the hot liquid with...

This is an intriguing still life. The flower arrangements have great elegance. The colors are superb. The cup is beautiful the smoke emerging from it is alluring and inspires my imagination. I think of hot chocolate and spicy herb teas. The little spider on the table reminds us that this is an outdoor location where people enjoy a night beneath the full moon. The still life is excellently composed and framed.

Hey Daphne!
What a nice soothing piece to behold! I like the different angles you have rendered in the flowers it adds to their realism! The color choices are great, as you show several, and they contrast very nicely against that black night sky. The use of light and shadow adds depth to the work and also adds to the initial impact. The details and framing are great and bring this work to life! Well done Daphne and good luck!
