this is a lovely work and i remember it well. such a nicely depicted mythical creature and the way it is positioned, is in a place of power. the picture has some amazing details and harps back to the ancient times, with the cross motifs. the flowers seem to give it a more tranquil and spiritual vibe (coupled with a full moon). helps the dragon to remember, not to burn out (as it spits his flames and make fire from the nostrils).

I like the soft Misty like smoke from the lantern, the dark night sky complete with stars and a full moon and how the bouquet of flowers frames it all out.
Nice work Daphne ;)

Nice and colorful painting. The flower arrangements look like flowers that would be used by a florist. The night sky makes a nice background. Love the way the steam from the coffee cup in compasses the moon from the night sky, Robert

Have you looked at the work of Henri Rousseau yet? I think you would benifit from seeing how he painted and the elements he incorporated, especially in his surrealistic pieces which your imagery to me seems to have a inspiration of.

Yes, thank you, I did briefly review his work. Spending time in the tropics seems to lend a certain sense of color to paintings that translates from one to another. I need to read about Henri Rousseau's life, which I have not done. Thanks for reminding me!

Hi Daphne, I so wish I had a six for this lovely image. I think you did an awesome job putting this together. Love the bright flowers against the moonlit sky. You shaded them perfectly. I also like the little dragon on the cup. Love how he's entwined. Lovely shading there too! Very Nicely presented and a joy to view! :o) Nancy

Mine is "year of the dog". I try to avoid full moons..wink wink..lol. just teasing. This is colorful and cool. The details is good. The depth is good..the shading is good. The blend of the colors is great..the creation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative and good job overall

You want one with a copy with a dog on the mug? What kind? Smooth hair is easier to draw in Illustrator.... How about a Saluki...

Nicely done Victoria! Very romantic and misteriuos and victorious at the same time! The colors are great! The soft shadows are placed in the correct direction. Nice stable composition. I like the angle of the table, too. It has a perfect depth and perspective. This one is the winner to me!!!

Thank you so much Lucas! Like your gorgeous eagle above the fog, this took a long time to create because the digital file kept crashing! I do this stuff on a cheap Dell laptop without ideal memory apparently, although I added extra. I hope the creation does well in the contest too, as it represents so much work... You know how it goes!

This is a pretty digital artwork, I like the way you show the sky with the slight glow around the moon, well created stars, the table with two vases of flowers, the flowers are beautiful and well created with good choice of colors, I like the way you placed the vases on the table with the dragon cup in between , nice glow coming from the cup and on the table underneath it. This is well created, arranged and presented! Best wishes to you in the contest!
