a great presentation indeed. such a good image and strong colours, make this one really stand out. there are so many nice details and very well conceived ideas, that are truly well executed...

Thank you from way back -- I emailed you this...FINALLY!!! PROOF DAVID CHARLES BURDEN REALLY WAS BORN, LOL!!! My cat seemed to be alerted to this transaction somehow, because after working through the night for 3 consecutive days powered on lysine on publishing deadline for The Magical Coloring Beans, I fell into the "sleep of death". But oh no, no rest for the weary, my cat shoveled his head under my head to try and roll me over and get me up but did not want food. He just led me to my computer and observed me, where after checking, I found this urgent message. Supposedly this clinches my UK citizenship -- fly there on a copper virus repellent dragon now, lol

Wish I could tell ya..my knowledge is video effects after I scanned my drawing. Interesting creation. The frog is cute. The depth is good. The details is good. The blend of the colors is good. The creation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative and good job overall

This is a very colorful page, indeed. I'm not an artist, but I would put a little white to make a swirl because colors reflect as white as they're defracted by light at a different angle than flat. I do photography and work with light relection and defraction.

Wow. This is great work Daphne. I know nothing about digital art, but check out Little Bogie 007 (Cindy Sue) or Lykkah (Diane) or Cleo for some tips. They are excellent digital artists and I am sure they could give some valuable tips. Keep up the good work Daphne ~ Steve

You are right, Cleo has already offered some good suggestions. Actually, she is going over the story-line. Do you read books? Having spent time in Mexico, I think you might like reading about the culture and nature in My Grandfather's Horses. Cleo surprised me by asking if I would sign a copy she bought, so she is mailing it to me. You know, I think you would like it too, there is a lot more in it than about horses. I'll email you the manuscript if you like, but not sure how you would read it. A book is easier to carry around. I have 3 books left, would be happy to mail you one.... this is the publisher's website -- it is under a pen name: http://booksbyvictoriaauberon.com/ it is also available on Amazon under Victoria Auberon, NOT Daphne Oberon.

The story of the poor frog is intriguing. The frog, the plants, the container with the red dye and the text are well placed into the frame. The drops running from the frogs face are excellent. I would put a couple more drops and then a half drop beneath the rim of the container and then draw diagonal lines in a half circle to create a splash and some circles where the drop touches the dye. A flood filter might do the same, but I am not sure about. I have never used moving filters.

Wow! That story you told is compelling.
Unfortunately, I do not understand your concept of the frog coming out of red dye and whatever is on its face. Dye right? Just looking at the work I wasn't able 2 tell the difference between dye and a red plate. The bubbles would look more like bubbles if they had way less opacity.
I'm really sorry to hear that you original is unattainable at the moment.
The shape of the bubbles towards the bottom were oblong. Small bubbles are always round. If you are trying to create motion of your bubbles I would try some lines to show motion. The best choice though is to leave the bubbles perfectly round and to drop the opacity significantly so that they do look like bubbles. Good luck with everything and thanks for reading the review.

Thank you, good points. Yes, the red plate impression is primarily what I was looking to change... In the broader story, the frog jumps from the pitcher into the caldron of dye; here he has turned around and is looking back at the dye so the viewer can see both. Thank you for your review!
-
Oh okay, I had no idea that was supposed to be a culdron. I'm so used to seeing black cauldrons hung by a black handle. I think the rim of the cauldron threw me off
-
Oh yes Mesoamerican cultures made all their pots out of clay, ceramic, stone and such. Their metallurgy was limited to symbols... Your points about bubbles was good, just trying to make them colorful as before the red cauldron, the frog dove into blur dye. Any suggestion for making the red dye look more liquid, and a bit disturbed, for this style of art (digital?? I don't mean "how", I mean what...

Line art....ripples!

Steam too! Ripples and steam!

Tue true, but we don't want boiled frog! It has to be cool. Okay w ripples, that is good! Thanks!
