I like how the moon stands out with color away from the blacks and gray tones on the stair case. Depending on a persons state of mind you know that there's something at the end of the stairs.

Thank you sir for your very insightful review and commentary. I chose this format to leave it to the viewers imagination as to the meaning of the red mood at the end of the stairs and beyond. I very much appreciate you and your work ~ Steve

Hi Steve, I don't think I'd want to take these stairs anywhere! This would be spooky without the Blood moon, but is even more so with it! I can definitely see it as a "Lost souls journey". Very cool! Great Job Steve! :o) Nancy

Steve,
A beautiful & spooky picture of this stone staircase lit from the light falling through a a window on the left the banister casting shadows on the stairs & the wall on the right at the top of the stairs we can see a blood Moon glowing in the night sky through the swirls of smoke on the stairs. Beautiful composition framing and lightning taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

extremely interesting shot. It LOOKS like an ice stairway /lots of those in Harbin/ leading to a moon lower down. But looks are deceiving in clever and talented hands with a camera!

More nice work with the photoshop effects Steve, I digg the first person perspective as if ascending the stairwell toward the darkness up to the moon, but I must confess, the visual as per the description, fills Me with a sense of despair and emotional pain from My personal experience regarding My older Brother, sadly enough Steve, He was apparently a lost Soul Who committed suicide when He was 23, I was 18 at the time and carried Him down the stairs of Our Home to the hospital on the day He would never return, and looking at this picture reminded Me of that most painful day long ago when I returned Home without Him and looking up the stairs that He would never climb again. But, Art is supposed to be evocative. Excellent work regardless Steve, and I apologize deeply if My story in any way brought You down or made You feel bad about posting this picture, please do not, it is a very creative piece!

creepy but a good creepy. It has an eerie feel to it, so your idea behind it about lost souls really make it come together. You have such a creative mind.
Well done. I love it

LOL. Yes I am getting farther and farther Out of the Box. Not sure if I can get back into the box. I may be a Lost Cause or maybe a Lost Soul ; )

Thank you for commenting on this Creepy image Diane. Thank you Especially for your Wonderful Rating.

This probably wouldn't make a great greeting card! Maybe Halloween but that's about it. Thank you again Diane ~ Steve

Interesting take on the 'last journey'. But I don't see a reception committee!:) Innovative pop creation!
Out of the box! Fine presentation!

This creation is as scary as it is fascinating. It seems stuff of a nightmare. The stairway looks as if it is made from smoke and could disappear suddenly. The red moon looks threatening. The mixed media is creative and certainly 'out of the box'. It is expertly composed and framed.

Thank you so much Cleo for your wonderful review. I tried to make this a bit scary and ghostlike. The Blood Moon just added to the nightmare. I tried to make this 'Out of the Box' just to make it different and interesting. I appreciate your very encouraging review Cleo ~ Steve
