Ha ha! Is that how ducks kiss? Beak to beak?
This is a clear and pleasant photo to look at. Thank you for sharing :-)

Another great shot of this goosey couple,I see she is still standing on one leg.Nicely timed,excellent focus and composition,i like the colors throughout,as well as the tight panoramic framing.

Great job capturing the moment! I also like how you cropped in closely to get the details of the subject. I agree with your choice of having a fairly dark overall exposure so that the white duck would not be washed out. Very nice job!

    thank you;
    I noticed that you give very often less than 5* without indicating what is wrong; if there is Nothing wrong, it should be a 5* or 6* for outstanding pics;

    Perhaps I need to review the judging criteria, which I am unable to find. I figure a 3-3.5 is average on that scale, which makes yours considered very good. I need to be careful not to count much for equipment and processing, which might not be in a person?s control, but I like to see super crisp detail if possible, and I would have dealt with the contrast extremes by minimizing contrast and lightening shadows, which can be done with just a cell phone camera. Great moment perfectly captured though.

A very nice shot that shows the interaction between these two in fine detail. I like the light and the great colors that it gives you. Good exposure for the white plumage and great tight cropping.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this pair of domestic Graylag Geese appearing to kiss one another as part of the mating practices on the lake shore. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Spring is clearly in the air over there! Your fine composition offers us an enjoyable look at those two love birds making good use of their long necks. Sharpness and exposure are good. Well taken!
