Wow I really like this piece of work. . The composition is very good. The colors are so beautiful and contrast is very good. The use of positive and negative space is also very good. Subject matter is interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Lucien ! Well, you most certainly accomplished the reflection expertly !
Noticed it right away and it is really really wonderfully done as well as this sweet pair---I just love this entirely ! Looks like kitty really looks up to
his pal and appears the puppy takes good care of his friend ! This is a great piece ! Take Care !

Good Evening Lucien van Oosten, I don't believe that I have ever seen this style of work before. Does it take long to do? You have the reflection of the paws just right, but judging by the look on their faces, the little guys seem to be more than just pals. Very Well Done.

Ruby, actual time of course depends on the size of the piece the details trying to capture and create... this one to approximately 2 weeks... does not include the practice time of years... thank you for your time and the review, take care and cheers...LvO

Lucien, this is a stunning pointillism drawing. I hate to think of how many hours you must have spent on this. The detail, expertise with the pen, shades of the black, reflections, the way the floor almost looks like glass, the expression of the animals, total composition and overall impression are outstanding!

Hi Lucien! I really love the feeling of these cute little guys! I love your technique, that is for sure! I do think the puppy is a little out of perspective, which is unusual for you! Great job other than that! ST 8-)

Sierra Treasure, like you mean the nose angle, roundeness? or that the body is slightly twisted? just trying to understand... Thank you for your time and the review, take care and cheers? LvO
reply by Sierra Treasures on 02-Aug-2006
Yes the nose angle does look off, and the chest and legs...seem short I guess, then again I don't know what kind of a dog it is. ST 8-)

it's a blood hound pup, maybe that will help you figure it out, let me know... cheers ... LvO

Hi Lucien, I know what it is, fist of all it does look like a hound, that is for sure, but, It is his paws, they need to be bigger, LOL! ST 8-)

I love your work. These two Pals are so cute. I have been staring at the dogs head and nose and something just seems out of proportion there. The reflection of the paws is wonderful

Pixie Chick, could it be that the snot looks to rounded or the eye looks to deep set? but that's the way I saw it and well...Thank you for your time, very much appreciated by me, take care and cheers? LvO
