Annie,
The soft blue of the door is eye catching in that 129 year old building with is pillared stone door frame. I get the impression the door is not the original as there is a gap at the top though the colour of the weathered paint work may well be the same colour as the door it replaced. The pink Bougainvillea growing beside the door is both beautiful & eye catching along with it's vine growing up the wall & trailing over the doorway. I'm sure there are many stories to tell of the families who have lived there over the 129 years of it's existence. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is very different image from you Annie in fact a very different image no matter who it was from!
The editing makes the difference as well gives that old time feel and look about it and makes the blues more muted which works with in this image, even those pink flowers with the greens on the right are not too over powering some may disagree but for me it works! Good luck with the contest!

This is a beautiful blue door with lots of character to it. I'm glad they kept it blue over the years. Your photo has good lighting and details and I like the way the doorway is framed by the pretty vines and flowers. Nice work! Best wishes in the contest!

I agree, the door despite having been painted a few times ,has still maintained its antiquity through the stressed wood that is still visible at a closer glance from the viewer.
