Great image here Lucien. I believe you have captured exactly the look you were attempting to achieve. The intent eyes and the partial squint says it all.

A great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best my friend ~ Steve

    Steve,

he is captivating. looking right at you, no matter where you move.
My intent was to show the intense concentration in the stare that only a cat can express. That look of it having spotted something it really wants to know, like what it is, to track and hunt. In this case, the eyes of this tiger was focused, zero in on an object without blinking.
Thank you for your continued support of me and my artwork with having taken the time to review the work being displayed; your efforts in doing so are really appreciated.
    as always take care.

Afine example of simplistic that is absolutely eye-ball grabbing. Excellent work in graphite Out of the box approach. The lines of the cat's eye and the shading are well thought out. Good luck!

A nice sketch of this animals eyes, take it to be a lion due to the size of his snout ? The eyes are hypnotic and draw the viewer in and ones imagination could run away with such a piercing look from this animal..i certainly wouldn't hang around.Nice depth in your sketch too with the excellent tonal control and balance

Very good Lucien love the very different idea, the intense stare and look typical big cat behaviour, I would say it is a tiger by the way the fleshy part of the nose is anything to go by, it looks as if the cat is looking down its nose at you the viewer, but its those lifelike eyes which are for me the crowning glory!
