Definitely a 6! Your fine and classical composition offers us a very enjoyable view of your beautiful heron and its location. Like the beak and the feather detail. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Great photo!

What a lovely nature bird study Eileen, I really like that action pose you have managed to capture especially with the feather ruffed up like they are this really shows the forms and detail of them all, the whites are not over exposed the whites are white with no cast and that gold reflections water surrounding the heron is perfect for it!

he is looking Fonda on golden pond! wink wink..lol. these guys come to my yard sometimes and then fly back to the marsh..really funny how they walk so slowly..lol.. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this heron in the gold reflected water is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

I never doubted that they exist. I have seem them myself. The photo is perfectly focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the refinement of detail and the realism of color. The white balance is excellent. The bird is exquisitely emphasized by the golden glow of the background. The bird is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
