This is a beautiful image of this wonderfully colored flower. I too do not know the name but it is really gorgeous. The black background works perfectly and allows some nice contrast to the foreground petals. Thanks for sharing!

What gorgeous pink blooms,the seem to glow against the black backdrop.The striping on the petals almost give a sense of movement,like watching an exploding firework spray.They remind me of hibiscus blooms. Beautiful color saturation and focus;there seem to be a lot of gorgeous flowers in that garden!

The idea of isolating the flowers by using a neutral even colored background is a nice idea, so long as the main subject or subjects are in perfect focus. And that the background compliments the colors in the a main subject as well.
As I see it, this image does nether one of thus things, the flower seem slightly out of focus, because the stamen are not crisp and clear. And using black a the negative space color saps some of life out of the flowers colors. A darker green would have pushed the flowers more to the for front and complimented their warm colors.
Nice idea, needs some work, in my opinion .

I love the way that you capture the pink color in this flower. From the light-pink ,all most white stripes to the deep pink to all-most purple in the middle. And the background been black. That is an awesome job.
