The ostrich is an interesting and adorable bird, they are so large with the small heads! I think it makes a wonderful subject for photography, we don't see many on this sight.
Unfortunately the white portion and bill are over exposed causing a loss of detail. When this occurs, there is nothing you can do to correct it. So toning down the whites would not help. I'm sorry.
