This is very pretty. I have tried to play with filters and it is not easy to get such a beautiful result. Congratulation on you win. She looks like she needs to keep a eye on camera.

Excellent close up shot!!
Great details visible in the feathers from large to small. Sleeping with one eye open? Lol. Fantastic clarity and colors look very natural. Well done!

Wow Helvi this is a marvellous close up profile image of a female Mallard almost about to sleep. Her bright clear eye on you. The clarity in this image is spectacular and the light really reflects the attention to detail that you have photographed. Nice blurred background which allows this Mallard to pop. Thank you for a wonderful viewing!

A great pose and a very nice shot. I like the colors and think the eye and the foreground feathers are fantastic. I do not so much like the look of the feathers on her face. They almost remind me of the look you get with the fractalius filter which is not my favorite.

Hi Mike, I remember in the past you saying you didn't like the fractalius filter. I know it's impossible to like all filters available for use and I'm ok with that. Your honesty is always appreciated. I'm glad you found something within this shot that you liked. It means a lot when someone you admire likes something within your work. Thank you so much for deciding to review this piece. I so appreciate your review. :o) Nancy

This Mallard is adorable. She seems to have flown in from Oz. Her pose reminds of a lady hiding her face behind a fan while she keeps an suspicious eye on everybody around. Your photo is well focused and exposed. The mixed media treatment gave a special texture to her feathers. The sharpness of detail at the outside of the feathers in the foreground combined with the softness within them is extraordinary. The blue light in the eye is incredible. The tight framing is adequate. The Mallard is excellently placed into the frame. The mixed media is well composed. The composition is balanced.
