This is such a pretty bird, and you have indeed pictured it well. I like the colors of the background with the leaves from the gum tree, and the eye of the bird is captured really well. The bird is standing out from the softened background in an excellent way.

The photo is very sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is spot on, and the colors crisp and clear.

The photo is nicely cropped, and the bird has got a perfect placement within the frame. This is a truly lovely and well taken photo Mary, and with an excellent DOF.

Your photo is beautiful. The image is crisp and the soft colors are gorgeous. I appreciate how the lines of the branches draw the eye inward to the bird. This is a photo worthy of framing.

This is a wonderful shot of the unique bird! I happened to view another shot wherein he was literally bending over backwards to such honey:) You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice capture Mary :)
You have fine focus, superb eye clarity and nice white balance control with a dreamy DOF.
The colors and feather details are fantastic. The crop is a tad tight on the left where his tail is.
Nice work !)

A beautiful bird and an equally beautiful image. The colors are great and I like the way you managed to maintain detail in both the black and whites. A beautiful pose and a fine composition.

This is an exquisite portrait. I am impressed by the sharpness and refinement of detail. Even the fine feathers on the throat show perfectly. The sharp beak and the light in the eye are impressive. The photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. Colors and light are realistic. The neutral background is unobtrusive and emphasizes the bird and its tree. The bird is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
