I think this is an outstanding shot of the water. The colors and turbulence are well captured. I have seen many images online of this body of water taken from the center of the bridge, and I think your shot is one of the best I have seen.

very cool. the water is sooo blue..the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this rushing water is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

This is an interesting capture. It is impressive how the fall rushes down and splashes against the shore on both sides. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has excellent depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light. Your PoV is perfect. The straight on shot emphasizes the enormous size and power of the fall. The photo is well framed. The composition is balanced.

Thanks Fred - yes they do have Jet Boat rides going the the very edge of the fast flow but we didn't have time to experience that adventure.

Wow. What a dramatic view of these turbulent waters. The white water shows speed motion. The colors are wonderful with the blues and whites of the water framed by the greens of the ravine.

Excellent capture Mary. A cyber six for this one.

P.S. It might be worth waiting until Sunday or Monday to post a beauty like this when everyone has six's to use. Just a thought.

I wish I still had a SIX star rating to give you for this unusual view of the Huka Falls taken from above the white spray contrasting with the turquoise coloured water as it crashes down the steep ravine lined with green trees. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.
