Beautiful pic...very unusual sight it is...but then nature is full of such surprises and wonders for us...I like the rustish red colour of the mounds....texture is very nicely captured...your composition gives us a very fair idea of the structure.....good luck for the contest

did you see on Smithsonian Channel yesterday, these odd bright green heaps in Brazil I think. Millions of years old, huge clumps of tiny creatures. Also rocks which are eatable like oysters if you cut them open. If I were younger I think I would be off to Brazil!! Did you find out what they were, not molehills I shouldn't think.

A very interesting shot. I had to look a couple of times to identify what it was. I think you have a good shot for the Mother Earth contest, this is a very unusual image and clearly shows there diversity of what our 'Mother Earth can do!!

The painted desert is such a place of wonder. Those red mounds are a geologic wonder, as is the entire area.

I like how this photograph has elements of abstraction with realism. What I mean is that to me at least it's hard to tell the scale of the mounds. I'm not used to seeing things like these and so I can get lost in this photo full of curiosity to imagine how large these mounds are. The color red also makes this photo interesting to look at. It kind of reminds me of the surface of Mars.

This looks like an alien landscape, something otherworldly. The color and smoothness of the mounds are impressive. Your photo is well focused and exposed. That the whole frame is filled with those unusual mounds emphasises the otherworldly appearance. The photo is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.
