This is an interesting mixed media creation. The color combination seems unusual, but is impressive and pleasant. The paint-like background emphasizes the leave excellently. The tight framing is sufficient. The leaf is well placed within the frame. The mixed media creation is balanced.

The scene is so lovely. My wife was a quilter and this reminds me of a quilt pattern my wife would have enjoyed working on. The rich colors and the mottled background is a modern style of watercolor art. The size of the leaf dominated the scene effectively and the background frames the red leaf. Good luck in the contest.
