This is a fantastic photo of a Dahlia, and it looks great in black and white. I especially like all the small droplets, and the slight zoom effect in the background. The flower is also standing out from the dark background in an excellent way.

The photo is also sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the petals. The exposure is very good.

The tight cropping works so well, and the flower has got a very good placement within the frame. A truly beautiful and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Lovely black and white image of the Dahlia - I like the ragged look of the petals making a full bloom. The water droplets add to the image. Nice central composition with good focus.

This is a wonderful entry for the contest, the black and white rendering really allows an excellent look at every detail on this lovely dahlia, it's one of my favorite flowers!
You have photographed it well and I like the angle of placement. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, good tones in the B&W. Well composed against the black background, well presented!
