Zentangle art is new to me also. For a rookie, you did very well. I like all of your work although the seahorse exhibits the best combination of skill and creativity. Had you not identified the elephant, I would not have guessed what it was--you took poetic license to a new level there :-). I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Ha ha that elephant has caused more comment than any. It's actually a effort in one in air, I really have a wooden elephant like this. I think I might post a photograph. There was a bit of artistic licence you are correct... you have given me an idea for the Mother Earth conest. ... I really apprecate your comments and compliments. Thank you for reviewing.

I like the idea of trying to depict the elements through art. I especially like your seahorse. I like the ancient idea of a dragon representing earth, ear, fire and water. Your style here might go really well with a dragon sketch, hint hint! My admiration!

Interesting bookmarks with different images of hard to see creatures. The sea horse I saw only one time in the aquarium. The black and white composition with the black background is nice.

I too had to look up the word a couple of weeks ago as I had no idea. I find it so interesting as maybe I could try this as a
non-artist. You did a fabulous job on your artwork. The creative juices must have been flowing. The details are amazing detailed. The central figures fit the doodles perfectly. Nice job.

Give it a go. It's intriguing how your pen just keeps going finding new patterns. Thank you for your remarks and review. Appreciated.

Wow! I can see the time and thought you have applied here to create the seahorse, the elephant and the owl. Each one on a page full of detail, so many tiny patterns. Well arranged in vertical format placed side by side on the black background. Very well created, nice entry , best wishes to you!

As I told Lucien this is a doodle in the sharpie world. No Zentangle . .I replied oh you mean a doodle with a fancy name. Gotcha. Wink wink..lol this is very cool. The facial is great. The body form and language is great. The depth is great. The details is great. The creation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative and great job overall

That's right. I started to doodle and unconsciously started what I had read about zentangle... you have to admit some zentangle are very intricate and innovative. I will probably get addicted now.

I do not know what kind of art zentangle is, but you have produced and enjoyable image here! Your chosen animals are good representatives of ground, sea and air. Like the patterns and details in your fine images. Well done and good luck!

H8, thanks and for comments. Apparently zentangle is pen drawings in patterns consisting of lines curves, dots and circles. I think you can get books now for you to colour in I.e when travelling instead of SUDUKO
