Watching the motion of the waves has always one of my favorite things to do.
The colors are exploding with energy. The variations of blues are pleasing to the eye.I can almost hear the waves pounding against the rocks. Interesting shot.

Your painting looks surreal and indeed abstract, but I see power and movement in it. I imagine waves crashing into each other as well as contradicting emotions in our mind. The shades of blue seem to be the ocean. Black seems the darkness within and white might characterize hope. Your bold brush strokes are demanding attention to the movement of the water. The artwork is well composed and framed. Our eyes move freely through the painting. Our excavation of the artwork is not disturbed.

I guess you comment on excavation, is you visual digging into ant through the painting to see the rocks the waves are crashing against?

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and appropriate composition offers us a good look at the drama taking place. Like the motion of the curling white waves. The contrast between the bright and white waves is good. Well painted and good luck!

I really appreciate your talent and spirit. We modern-day artists are like blind people. We do not paint what we see. We paint what the mind visualises. I can hear the roar of the waves. A robust brugh work. Good luck!

A very nice painting that captures the motion of the breaking waves and contrasts it with the stability of the rocks. The colors are great and the composition is attractive. Best of luck in the contest.

yes that is very good effect indeed. my father was an oil painter (of some repute). i understand how difficult it is to get water exactly right.
