I am in a air bnb in Mexico village for two weeks in Chicago and am surrounded by Mexico here, hence I spotted the cactus, which I watched the mother of the owner cooking yesterday. It is a vegetable not used in England. It speaks of Mexico to me, but is not mexican.

First of all I enjoy your post. The horse is fantastic. The shading is impeccable. The flowers are beautiful. The snake is a nice touch. But I am having a problem with the cacti. You didn't draw them. But in your defense you did say they are not yours. You are talented to draw them yourself. I base my ratings on the whole piece. Not just a few elements. If you drew the cacti this would have been a six. sorry

Thank you very much! The gentleman who drew the cacti will be very pleased that you liked the cacti. I will tell him!!! I cut them out incorporated them in the image and enhanced them digitally; he did not do any of the digital creation.

I don't do much art by hand anymore due to horse related injuries(I was a professional farm manager and horse trainer). That is why I now resort to digital work... I think the only hand drawn art I have posted on my site are the fiery branches. The branches themselves are done crayon but I put the graphic together digitally and the orange background was done digitally.

I looked at a few pieces of yours. You are good, very good at digital art. The second piece after the one is wonderful.

This is awesome composition. Just look at this handsome stallion in his characteristic body posture on a moonlit night in a desert land. Yes, the cacti have been very nicely crafted and even those purple flowers have been very skilfully done. Overall, it's a beautiful finish and makes a great entry to the contest. Beautiful digital artwork. I especially like the horse which has realism as well as some other, it being bluish in body. Really nicely contrasted though. The rest is really good too, including the cactus amd night, bright moon.

I have missed this stallion. I wish I had a six left. I love the color of the horse with its black/blue coat and white mane and tail. I like the splash of color from the cactus, lilac plants and moon. I don't remember seeing him in a while. Thank you for sharing.

Like he talk cactus, the stallion gives scale as to the size, the pup,e flowers are intriguing and I like the way they are placed within this scene. The moon like like a giant Pearl, i love the way it glows!
