I would like to thank you all for this amazing honor. I produce, with the hope that my work will touch the hearts of the viewers. To win just shows me that in some way, it has.

Oh my Spiritual Sister this says so much. The mental struggles of Mary, her choice to Trust God against all odds and the murmurs of the people.

Seldom do we actually ponder what Mary must have pondered. The Bible makes it sound so simple, but it was anything but.

This is so moving and gives a glimpse into the True story of Christmas.

Once again you are the hands of the Creator my sister.

Blessings upon you and your family Linda ~ Steve

This is my opportunity to say Merry Christmas to my brother in the Lord. Thank you for the 6 stars. Such a blessing. Thank you for your wonderful review.

It is most definitely different from the usual Christmas Card. It depicts Mary mother of Jesus in prayer.

Your skill with graphite is amazing. Your details are so real I can imagine being there.

It must do well in the competition.

Seasons greetings to you.

I just finished watching Spanish Princess, and this reminds me of the woman who thought that praying a lot would get them favour, especially as woman were always blamed for not having sons, Yes Santa Claus does not depict the real spirit of Christmas, you are correct there, but begging God for favours is not what Christ wanted either, You just have to talk to him and he always answers. I like the work you did here, Hope you have a great Christmas especially when we are told to stay in our own household this year.

This isn't Mary praying, it is Mary receiving the news from Gabriel that she was to conceive and give birth to Jesus. She is humbled and grateful to God for this miracle.

Ok, she accepted it without unbelief and that is why it happened, thanks for the clarification

This is beautiful. Mary played a big part of the prophecy of Jesus. The Catholic Religion gives her a lot of praise, but not so in many other religions. Your painting is very special. I love that she is on her knees. I love the lighting you have shown in your blending. Anyone who receives this Christmas card will surely be blessed.

This is so beautiful and perfect for this time of year. Reminds me of the actress Olivia Hussey who portrayed Mary in Jesus of Nazareth.
I like your ability to create light and shadows, the realism of her facial features and clothing.
Your hands have been kissed by God Lady Linda.
Beautiful work!!

Now your talking! This is real talent in every sense of the word. I stumble across cheesy two-dimensional unimpressive works all the time, but in this one, the shading is there! I'm impressed with "realism" drawings such as this. Sure, there is spiritualism involved, but I'm impressed with anything that looks real. This is of photo quality and I only with I could draw like this. With a little practice, maybe one day I will! God bless!

Looks just like a black and white photograph, my dear!

This is so radiant. I think you have captured the whole effect of the picture very well. Ii like the texture of her clothes. Traditionally, Mary is shown wearing a veil as that was the usual attire for the time but I think that you have really turned this into your own! Thanks so much for sharing!
