Hey BFF,

Yes these drawing on the street are done with pastel chalks. I am always amazed as I watch them create these wonderful works of art. The street is blocked off for the work. The artists have three days to complete their work prior to the judging. Once the judging is finished they open the street back up. It breaks my heart to see a car parked right on top of one of these works. Within 2-3 days there is hardly any sign that a work of art was even there. Sad but then the next year the works are even better.

Woops sorry for the misspelling of Merry Christmas -- I'm stressed lately and it shows in stuff like my spelling... I'm going through last stages of acceptance or denial of my UK citizenship through my British father's antecedents and it has been rough... Say a prayer for me for this Saturday when I have a two hour interview on a poor Internet connection and review of 60 documents on my antecedents, lol... Merry Christ mas!

This chalk painting is indeed impressive. You captured the street art perfectly. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of light and of the vivid colors. The tall tight framing is sufficient. The composition is balanced.
