Wow, very clear, and it seems you are lucky to have seen one, it looks like a kind of chicken or something by the beak and red head, the details of the feathers are clearly seen and well photographed by you, love that we see it does not hate the water

You have indeed pictured this Swamp Hen well, and I especially like how well you have brought out the lovely colors of the feathers. I also like how the reed is framing the bird, and how well it is standing out from the background.
The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped and the bird has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Eileen, and with an excellent DOF.

Great placement in the frame. If I had a six I would award it. This would be a great posting for this year. If you have another version consider posting it (now that it is the new year).

something im used to growing up around..wink..the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this colorful bird in the bayou is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.
