I love the deep red colors of the poppies. They work so well with the background you created. Using three poppies, in that location, is perfect for your composition.

It seems like the red poppy is tour favorite for the time being, and I also like this painting you have done with them. I especially like the fine textures seen in the background, and the touch of golden colors.

Your pencil work is really good, and I also think you have used high lights. The flowers are done paying a very good attention to details.

The format and framing is perfect, and I like the placement of the poppies on the canvas. A truly lovely and well done painting Lise, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I like that the poppies appear to be " dancing" with the buds.
